The mistake most brands make is hoping overstock will sell through "naturally." It won't. Pick a strategy:

Bundle it with hero SKUs to lift perceived value
Email-only flash sales to your buyer list (preserves brand pricing)
Wholesale liquidate through Faire or B2B channels
Donate for the tax write-off if margins are gone

Then Fix the Root Cause

Clearing once doesn't help if you over-order again next quarter. Tighten your forecast, lower your safety stock on B and C items, and review reorder quantities monthly. The brands that grow fastest aren't the ones with the most cash — they're the ones whose cash isn't stuck in a warehouse.
